Kaliper Documentation
Ping Control — Entity details
Clicking any row in the Ping Control table opens a detail window for that entity. The window has three tabs: Overview, Relay settings, and Latest pings. The header shows the entity name; Target rows also show a type badge (Dynamic target / Fixed target / Static target).
The detail window reflects the same filter context as the table — the stats you see correspond to the date range and entity filters currently active on the Ping Control page.
The detail window
Overview
Entity details block
Entity | Fields shown |
|---|---|
Publisher | Name, Publisher ID |
Campaign | Name, Campaign ID, Vertical |
Buyer | Name, Buyer ID |
Target | Name, Target ID, Static bid (Fixed targets only) |
Pings distribution card
A stacked bar showing the 8 ping statuses for this entity in the current period.
Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
Accepted | Buyer returned a bid and the call was routed |
No Coverage | Buyer returned a rejection |
Rate Limited | Buyer's rate limiter blocked the ping |
Duplicate | Ping identified as a duplicate — the cached response from the original ping was returned |
Capped | A volume cap was reached before the ping was dispatched |
Suppressed | An attribute filter or audience/dataset rule blocked the ping |
Error | Network or system error during the buyer request |
Unknown | Buyer was contacted but no parse rule matched the response |
ZIP enrichment indicator — below the distribution bar:
If ZIP enrichment is enabled: shows a sparkle icon and a "ZIP enrichment" label, the count of enriched pings, and a percentage (enriched / total original pings). A tooltip shows the exact "Enriched pings X out of Y" detail.
If ZIP enrichment is disabled: shows a red dot, "No ZIP: X%" (percentage of pings that arrived without a valid ZIP), and an Enable ZIP enrichment button. The button is only actionable for users with the OrgOwner role. See ZIP enrichment.
Relay details block
A read-only summary of this entity's configured relay settings. Present for Publisher, Buyer, and Target; absent for Campaign.
Publisher: shows any configured restrictions (restricted buyers, restricted targets, Sub-ID tag, restricted Sub-IDs). If nothing is configured, the block renders empty.
Buyer: shows enabled target count, the active deduplication rule, and any caps or restrictions that are configured.
Target: shows the relay enabled/disabled status indicator, the deduplication rule, and any caps or restrictions configured on this target.
Editing is done in the Relay settings tab, not here.
Sub-IDs performance block
Available for Publisher, Campaign, Buyer, and Target.
Shows a breakdown of ping performance by Sub-ID for this entity. Sortable. Each Sub-ID row has a circle-minus icon button to toggle restriction for that Sub-ID. For a single-entity context it toggles directly; when multiple entities in the grouping hierarchy can restrict (e.g. both Publisher and Buyer are in the active grouping), clicking the icon opens a dropdown to choose which entity to restrict.
Ping Statistics block
Available for Publisher, Campaign, Buyer, and Target; absent for Static targets.
Aggregated ping counts for the current period, drawn from individual ping records:
Total — all pings received
Capped — shown only when count > 0
Sent — total minus Capped; pings that were not blocked by a volume cap. Shown only when count > 0. Includes a sub-breakdown by outcome (Accepted, No Coverage, Rate Limited, Duplicate, Suppressed, Error, Unknown).
Last Hour Rate Limit block
Available for Buyer and Target only; absent for Publisher and Campaign; absent for Static targets.
Shows estimated rate-limit metrics aggregated over the past 60 minutes: Average, Min, and Max estimated rate limit, and the count of minutes with rate-limited pings. All values show N/A when no rate-limited minutes occurred.
Request config block
Available for Dynamic and Fixed targets; absent for Static targets and all non-Target entities.
Shows the configured outbound request details: URL, method, headers, body, and timeout. The block includes a Request editor button that opens an inline editor.
Relay settings

Attribute filter block
Filters pings by caller profile attributes. See Attribute filters.
Audiences and Datasets block
Assign suppression and allow-list rules to this entity. See Audiences and Datasets.
Key behaviors to note:
Only items with pings filter enabled appear in the selector.
Items that are already configured as Global (org-wide operator set) appear in the list automatically and are locked — their operator cannot be changed and they cannot be removed.
When you add an Audience or Dataset, it defaults to Deny. Switch the operator to Allow if that's what you need.
Campaigns auction timeout block
Publisher only. Marked as experimental (visible to all users, no role restriction). See Auction timeout overrides.
Payload enrichment block
Target only (Dynamic targets). Experimenter role only. Appears in the Relay settings tab as a "Request config" block between Audiences and Changes History. Shows the current enrichment enabled/disabled state and a Payload editorbutton. See Payload enrichment.
Changes History block
Available for Publisher, Buyer, and Target; absent for Campaign. Shows an audit log of configuration changes made to this entity's relay settings. Collapsed by default.
Delete button
Appears only when the entity has been deleted from the call tracking platform (sourceDeleted = true).
Buyer: delete button shown when source-deleted.
Target: delete button shown when source-deleted.
The delete button removes the entity from Kaliper. This action is permanent.
Latest pings
The Latest pings tab is identical across all four entity types.
Filters
A tab switcher at the top lets you narrow by outcome:
Tab | Sub-filters |
|---|---|
All | — |
Accepted | All Accepted / Late Bids / On time Bids |
Rejected | All / No Coverage / Duplicate / Rate Limited / Capped / Suppressed / Error |
Unknown | — |
